As you all may know Series 3 of The Voice UK has made a hit return back to our screens. But, new judges Kylie Minogue (aged 45) and Ricky Wilson (aged 36) and new presenters Emma Willis (aged 37) and ex JLS group member, Marvin Humes (aged 28) have joined the show.
These new judges have made a shock appearance on the show as at the end of last series ‘The Script’ double denim vocal singer, Danny O’Dounghue (aged 33) and the shows leading lady, Jessie J (aged 25) left the show after two series filming. Also later this year The X Factor UK will be returning for the 10th series. But the question still stands of who will judge on the show?
The X Factor judges have been switched and changed throughout the years, leaving viewers in suspense of who’s new to join the show. However, this year all the judges will be replaced maybe including beloved judge Louis Walsh, who’s been on the show since it started in 2004. There’s been a lot of talk about whether Mr Walsh will leave the show as early on after 2013‘s current series he said it was to be his last as he needed to get his “life back”. But, he later admitted on the Jonathan Ross show that he’s ‘having so much fun this year, he might stay’.
In an interesting turn of events, judge Gary Barlow, who’s been on the show for three series', is due to leave the show. His conversation with last year’s hit band, Rough Copy suggests that he will be quit the show after just 3 years. Barlow said ‘I’ve been on the show for 3 years and I’m so glad that for my last year on the show I got to mentor you’.
Surprisingly enough Mr Simon Cowell is set to return back on our screens as he will be joining the x factor panel once again. It has been announced by Itv bosses, and Simon is very happy to be back on the judging panel for the 11th series. Cowell quit the UK panel in order to establish the series in the US, but audience numbers there have not been as high as he hoped. With Simon back, we have to say goodbye to someone and this time the shocking revelation turns to Nicole Scherzinger.
The feisty 35 year old has made the heart breaking decision not return to the UK X factor, but to focus on her own music career. As last year her music career was put on hold as she re-entered her 2nd year of being a judge on the x factor. If Nicole does decide not to do another year on the show, it is likely to come as a huge disappointment to Simon, who had been hoping she would bring her unique personality back to the programme once again. Simon also revealed this week that Miss Cheryl Cole could return to the judging panel, with Simon quoting; 'To be fair to Cheryl, it hasn't been about the money with her. It's about whether she wants to do it and whether she can handle the pressure, so I'm not quite sure yet if she will come back.’
So who will return to our screens later this year, Louis, Cheryl or some new talents who will freshen up the show? Let us know and comment below.
