Vlogging is vastly increasing in the UK and all around the world. To some people it’s considered a hobby but to others, a job. If it still continues to increase rapidly, will the younger generation be more inclined to be a vlogger? Vlogging is a sort of blog which is video recorded and posted on website such as you
tube. It is also a form of web-television. The first ever vlogger was a man called Adam Kontras in 2002 and he vlogged about his move to Los Angeles to let his parents and friends know how he was getting on. In theory any one can vlog or video blog at any age. All you need is a camera, internet connection and
something to talk about.
One of the top things to vlog are the things the vlogger enjoys and knows about. This gives the audience a sort of trust in the vlogger to choose nice products that they can buy. Vlogging is becoming incredibly popular to younger audiences. They earn a bucket full of money. The vlogger/video maker, who has earned most money, has earned over 7 million pounds by talking and telling everyone what he enjoys doing and turned his hobby into a full time job. He now enjoys this activity very much. He is PewDiPie. This may be considered a job to some people, or a hobby to others.
The point is, people get paid for vlogging, so does this mean it’s a job? It could be more than just a job; it could be a career. Many famous vloggers don’t vlog just for the money and fame sometimes they vlog because they adore the people who subscribe to them on YouTube and support them. They have events such as playlist live and VidCon to meet their fans.
