Books has been around for many years. It captures the emotions and feelings of the author through the narrative voice. Books can inspire other people, but some books might not be interesting. Everyone likes different books depending on the genre.
However, as technology has developed, people have started to read material on electronic devices like Kindles or iPads because it is easier than buying loads of books. It's also a lot cheaper to buy books on Kindles. Some people say that books are better because they never run out of battery. (It's a shame when you are enjoying a book and suddenly the Kindle turns off.)
Anne Allsopp comments, “I stare at a digital screen all day; I don't want to do the same when I'm reading.” This shows that we shouldn't get rid of books because some people enjoy reading without technology. What if there wasn't any electricity? How are you going to read then? It also feels different when you are reading using a Kindle. It’s not the same experience. I love physically turning pages rather than swiping. I think people should buy books because it helps you understand the experience as the author intended.
On the other hand, Kindles are a much easier way of reading! The minute you finish the book you can purchase another book. It's much cheaper- in fact you can get some books for free. When you are reading and you like how the author has written, you can underline or highlight the sentence. You don't need to memorise the page you read up to because the kindle automatically remembers it for you. In addition, you won't have to carry lots of books and make your bag heavy! You can bring your whole library with you on holidays or to school.
Now it's your choice to make. But remember having an iPad or an kindle doesn't always help. It's different to different kind of people.
